Just before crossing the Togetsukyo Bridge while still on the bridge’s north side, I shot this raven taking a break on a distinctive Arashiyama area rooftop.

I moved the marker in the map below to the actual rooftop, instead of the place where I was standing as I took the photo. I’m curious about what this building is. I’ll check it out on a future visit to Arashiyama.

By the way, Shigureden, a museum that apparently has a strong connection to Nintendo, is located in this vicinity. It’s on my list of places to visit. I’ll be taking listeners with me in the podcast when I get back to Arashiyama. It looks very, very interesting. Here’s a link to the Shigureden website.
